The bathing pools at La Vallette were built in 1844 to compensate for the loss of beaches caused by the expansion of St Peter Port harbour. The water in the pool comes directly from the sea at high tide.

This series of images is a tribute to my friend who sadly passed away in 2019. Her last series was called 'The Fragile Frontier Between Now and Forever' and featured Canary Island's natural pools.
